This column will attempt to answer some of your life and biblical questions with scripture and no nonsense. We would like you to share your prayer requests here as well. We would like you to submit your questions and prayer requests in the form provided below. Not all questions will be put up on our web page because of duplication and or content. Dear Friends,
What is a worldly Christian?
Worldly Christians are those who say they know Jesus and act like they are of the world and not the kingdom of God. They may or may not go to church. They say they believe in Jesus and may have even asked Him into their hearts at one time with their mouth. Though their lives show little evedence of the truth of God or Jesus in their hearts.
A worldly Christian wants to look a Christian because they were brought up that way or it is good for business. They just don’t really serve Him or go out of their way to be with Him. They never really get their hands dirty doing the Lords work. If they are called to stand up for Jesus they will pass the buck or just turn and run away.
A worldly Christian may help occasionally if pushed into it though they will try to avoid doing to much church work. They would never want people seeing pray or have to give up a vacation for a missionary trip or week of solitude with the Lord.
If you fit into this description then you need to know that God is serious. He is not at all pleased with His children who are on the fence and are living a life without Him.. No if you are not for Him you are against Him.
Worldly Christians are those who aren’t willing to give up the trappings of this world to follow Jesus to the cross. The cross you have to bear in this life can be painful and can get heavy at times. However if God is for you who can be against you.
When we finally turned our lives and our children over to Him we became radical for Jesus. We turned away from bars, drinking, drugs and spending time with people who don’t love Him. It has been lonely at times because we don’t always fit in. Even if we get invited to a party many times we aren’t invited back.
Now the only time we spend time with the lost and the dying of this world or the worldly Christians is to get them saved. That is our call. Matthew 28:19, 20 tells us to go and make desciples or followers of Christ. It does not say to try to fit in.
If you are feeling convected ask God if you are too worldly and if He says yes, ask Him to show you where you need to change. Please don’t look back like Jobs wife who turned into a pillar of salt. God will not always chide you. He loves you and will do what it takes to get you back on track with Him.

What happens when you pray with a friend? There is power. We hear so many times that people don't take time or make time to pray together. That is very sad. If you call yourself a Christian believer then you should pray with someone everyday. Why? Matthew 18:19 says: "I tell you this---if two of you agree down here on earth concerning anything you ask for, my Father in heaven will(will) do it for you. For where two or three gather together because they are mine, I will be right there among them." And if God is there then prayers are answered.
This is another case for fellowshipping with the body of Christ in church and out. We have church on Sunday morning. Then Sunday night we come together to pray nd read the Word.. Wednesday midweek we come together again to read the word and to soak in Gods love. If you are a believer you need to fellowship with other believers. The Word says for us to fear God ("I will say. Each of you must fear and reverance his name." Psalm 22:23) and God is the Word and the Word was made flesh. John 1:1; 14. If he tells us to do something we should do it. (If we believe and are born again. John 3)
The Rub for Today: "I will praise you to to all my brothers; I will stand up before the congregation and testify of the wonderful things you have done. Praise the Lord, each one of you who fears name. " Psalm 22:22

To whom this may concern,
Many people call theirselves Christian and fully believe they are Christian, I did. What is a Christian? Does anyone really know.
Some people think they have always been a Christian because the have been a good person. Some think they are a Christian because they were baptised as a baby and or became a member of the or a church.
A real Christian is saved by believing that Jesus Christ died for their sins.(not because of anything they have done.) A real Christian has turned away from sinning on purpose and believe tand practice he Word of God.
You can tell a real believer by his or her fruit:
A. They Love God with all their heart and believe Jesus Christ is God. John 3:16; John 1:1; John 1:14
B. They walk the talk and if they fall or slip they ask forgiveness for their sins. Romans 10:9, 10,13.
C. They spend time in the Word of God and like to fellowship with believers who worship God. Romans 10:17; 1 Thessalonians 5:16-20
D. True believers want to share their faith with others and follow Gods commands. Matthew 28:18, 20.
E. A real believer cares for others and wants the best for their fellow man. They, like Jesus, do not condemn the people in the world and try to save them. John 3:17

Dear xyz,
I wish you would call me or give me your real name and e-mail so I could help you with your walk with Christ. When you send me a message I can not read or understand you make me think you are mad at the world.
All Christians are not bad. You may have met the ones who are not real Christians yet. Or maybe you met some that were going through some mental stuff that made them act wrong. I really don't know. However I do know Jesus loves you very much.
He died for you and me and He lives today. "For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotton Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should perish, but have everlasting life." John 3:16
Would you give up your life for millions of people knowing some were going to reject your gift? Would you die for people that hate you? Jesus did just that. He died so you might live. So if you are reading this and it got to you in any way and you are ready to ask Jesus into your heart just say the following prayer. When you do and you mean it ,your life will change and all those mean things people have done for you will be under the blood.
Jesus I ask you to forgive my sins. All the sins I know I committed and the ones I don't know. I believe you died was buried and rose again for my justification. Thank you for saving me. Help me to become a new creation and to live for you all the days of my life. Amen
Now go tell someone and ask someone to baptize you. Baptism is very important to your walk with Christ.
Send me your address and I will send you a small book that will help you with your walk in Christ or you can read the book of John in the Bible and the book of Romans. Then find a 'Reading through the Bible' plan and read through your Bible every year.
The Word of God will help you grow as a Christian. It is of the utmost importance for the Christian to read their Word every day. KJV and or New King James will give you a good foundation. You can read other translations to help you understand however as they have translated the Word over and over some of its true meaning has been watered down.
Be blessed and know that we love you and so does God. We will be praying for you as we pray for our other fellow Christians.

Rubbing You The Right Way For Christ
Life goes on. And so it will until the Lord returns and we become like Him (if we are saved) So many times it is hard to keep our eyes on Jesus when we are trying to please others. We want to follow Jesus. We want to be all he has called us to be but we fall short. Why? If we follow Jesus like we should, we would be more like John the Baptist and you all know where it got Him. Oh you don't ? Read all about John the baptist in John. Luke, Mathew, Mark.
You see my dear friends if you are really serving God and following after Jesus you will be persecuted for His sake. "Blessed are are they which are persecuted for righteousness sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven" (Matthew 5:10).
There will be times where you will not be invited back to a house because you like John the baptist make peoples sin stand out . When people are convicted of sin they either come to Christ or want to be far away. So be happy ..."when men ( or women) revile you, and persecute you and say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake. Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you" (Matthew 5: 11.12).
Life here on earth is not easy as a practicing Christian. You are not of this world. You are of the kingdom of God which separates you from unbelievers and therefore makes you an enemy of the god of this world, satan. If you aren't being persecuted maybe you are still a closet Christian. Its time for all Christians to come out of the closet and declare whose side they are on.
The Rub for Today: "You are the salt of the earth: but if the salt has lost his savour, wherewith shall it be salted? it is henceforth goo gor nothing, but to be cast out, and to be trodden under the foot of men" (Matthew 5:13). KJV
